Remember, it is the very seed of gratitude
In December 1941, as our great country was recovering from its worst
financial crisis it had ever known, the Great Depression, diplomats
from the U.S. and Japan met in Washington . A strike force from Japan
secretly was at sea. Its target, a well planned attack for the morning
of December 7 th on Pearl Harbor . At roughly 7am the attack began,
starting our country's involvement in W.W . II. In the countries call
to defense, many in that generation, rushed to enlist in the armed services.
My father and two of his brothers joined hundreds of thousands of others
in their call to duty. Moreover, in what I would find unheard of today,
over 9 out of 10 of our 5,500 major league baseball players willingly
enlisted themselves in the military and fought honorably in the defense
of our great country. For many of these great Americans, it wasn't a
choice or even an option, it was their solemn duty.
On this peaceful and beautiful Memorial Day holiday I chose to momentarily
pause in reflection for the great magnitude of sacrifices our fathers
and servicemen made and make for us. We have a tendency to forget, even
with these constant reminders of our holidays.
To forget would not only be unfortunate but could be
dangerous to the future welfare of our country. Thankfully, for my father,
and many others, they return home safely to continue their life and
start families. But for many others they made and continue today, to
make the supreme, ultimate sacrifice and give of their life for the
defense of our freedoms. I shall never forget the sacrifice they made
and make for me and my family today. I will always “Remember.”
Conversely, the road to regret and ultimately destruction is forever
a gradual one - a gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings,
without milestones, without signposts. At Spray Force, there will always
be better things ahead than any we leave behind.
Spray Force's leadership in equipment innovation is
taken very seriously. I continue to be humbled by our customer's faith,
trust and commitment to Spray Force equipment. It is your faith in Spray
Force that nurtures and strengthens our vision. “Everything” and I do
mean everything we do at Spray Force is anchored in the needs of our
customer and the advancement of the spray equipment industry .
Moreover, we would never want the past to become our future. I
know of our future without bound or limits. At Spray Force, we never
take anything for granted or fail to remember why we build simply the
best equipment made on earth. It is you the “Customer.”
